Removing Old Cellulose and Installing New Fiberglass in Elberta, Alabama
We recently helped restore the attic space at an old farm house in Elberta, Alabama.
This house had a modge podge of cellulose and fiberglass batts that had been added little by little throughout the years. On top of this, the house had also sat vacant for a while and squirrels, possums, and even snakes had gotten in.
The attic was a mess!
We started by removing all of the blown in cellulose and fiberglass batts. There was so much compacted insulation that it took our crew 2 days to remove it all.

Once we had everything removed we air sealed, treated the attic spaces, and then reinstalled with brand new loosefill fiberglass.
Because of the old and settled insulation, this homeowner had experienced extremely high utility bills. Within 1 day of installation her house was cooling easier, the HVAC wasn’t working as hard, and she saw instant savings on her utility bill.
