NO Insulation Over Bedroom in Gulf Shores Townhome
On Tuesday we installed 10 plus inches of blown fiberglass insulation to a townhome in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
These townhomes have been suffering from hot bedrooms, high utility bills, and overall difficulty to heat and cool.
We did an inspection and found that they either had little or NO insulation in the back halves of the attics.
The attic spaces are 4 stories up and difficult to reach without a ton of hose. This makes getting into the far back corners almost impossible without the right equipment. Thankfully we have several hundred feet of hose and were able to fully insulate this attic and get it above code.
We’ve done 2 townhomes in this community now and they are both cooling efficiently, no more hot bedrooms, and the owners utility bills are at an all time low
