Hey Everyone!

 Since we’ve gained some new followers I decided it was time to do an introduction post.

 

I’m Jenna – the girl in the videos. At the time of this post I am 29 years old. I am a single mom/only parent to a 6 year old boy who is the joy of my life. We also have a giant dog named Timmy. We live on the Gulf Coast of Alabama (Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Foley area). We enjoy hiking, camping, cooking, and so many more hobbies! We attend church every Sunday in Robertsdale and I am involved in multiple outreaches for single moms. 

 

I am also the sole owner of Extraction Pros. 

 

Extraction Pros is an insulation company that specializes in existing homes. We focus on getting attics and crawl spaces back up to code and making them energy efficient. Older homes are our niche and passion! It is so satisfying and fulfilling to clean up an attic or crawl space that has been damaged or is no longer energy efficient. We also work with local pest control and restoration companies to clean up homes after pests, mold, fire, and water damage. 

 

We service all of Baldwin and Mobile County. We also go into Pensacola and as far as Navarre Florida. 

 

Why insulation? 

 

First, I am a 3rd generation insulator. It’s something I have grown up around and I know it well. I also LOVE physical labor. Getting up in an attic and vacuuming out insulation is my love language. 

 

Second. I am a single mom/only parent and have been since my son was 5 months old. Working in the trades provides us with a wonderful life. Especially now that I own the company. I never have to miss a school function or sports event. It also provides us with a great income, a beautiful home, and every day little luxuries. 

 

Third, I am very passionate about showing other women – especially single moms since they hold a dear place in my heart – that you can work in the trades and still be girly.  When I told my parents I was going to get back into insulation I said “If I’m going to do this, I’m going to do it in pink.” I never, ever want to lose who I am in an attempt to “fit in with the guys.”  You don’t have to give up being a woman just because you have a job that is typically done by men. Yes, this job is nasty BUT my nails are always done, most of the time I’m in full make up, and you will never ever find me spitting, yelling, and cursing on a jobsite. I am who I am and my career choice does not change that. 

 

In the weeks/months to come we will be sharing videos on all things insulation. Most of our videos will be aimed towards homeowners but we will also be showing what kind of equipment we use, our trailer setups, and how we run our shop. There will also be videos here and there showing our day to day lives – because I think my son and dog are adorable and I take their photos ALL the time. So I might as well post them.
